Ingredients to make Dal Puri:

To fill:
2 cups chana dal
2 tbsp oil
1 teaspoon cumin
½ tsp turmeric powder
4-5 whole red chillies
2 tbsp chopped garlic
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
2 teaspoon coriander powder
salt to taste
2 teaspoons chopped coriander leaves

For the dough:
2 ½ cups whole wheat flour
1 tbsp oil
½ tsp salt

How to make Dal Puri:First of all, keep the pulses soaked in water for 4-5 hours. Then filter the lentils and keep them in a vessel. Now heat oil in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds, broken red chilli and chopped garlic and fry the garlic until it turns golden.

-Now add the strained lentils to the roasted spices and fry well for 4-5 minutes. Now add ground spices to it and mix well. Now add 2 cups of water in it and cook till 4 whistles. Remove from flame and take it out in a plate and keep it to cool completely.

Now grind it without adding water. However, many people use it in Bharwa even without grinding it. Now mix one spoon salt and one spoon oil in flour and knead a soft dough by adding water.

Now keep the dough for 20 minutes. Then knead it again with light hands for 2 minutes. Break the dough into equal sized balls and make small balls. Now press the balls and fill about 2 tablespoons of lentil mixture in them.

Now roll it and make puri. Fry it on medium flame. These puris have to be fried until they become crisp. Now serve it with hot kheer and potato curry. Everyone will praise your Puri.
